The Sweetest List

You only get to do this list once in your life.
It might be endless, but you'll be thankful how it helps you at the end of the day.
Yep. it's THAT list of every bride and groom.

Thanks mr D.F.G for inspiring me to write on this one...hehe..has been intending to share this to u ladies n gents out there anyway..its good to share bah kn :)

Okie..though i am no wedding planner, i guess any bride/grrrroooommm to - be will automatically be hands-on with a to-do list.

The most important of all (yikes..mcm sa bcakap time lecture pla huhu)..is to decide who you are going to marry la kn? haha.. ok , sorry. not funny.

First things first (nc says).
Decide the church venue and date.
THENnnnn..you'll be at ease planning the whole reception things.
J and i started dealing with church matters 9 months befor the wedding date, and we couldn't even get the date that we have wished for.
u guess.

Be realistic but dont abandoned ur whole dream wedding ideas.
We only get this LIFE..and married once? (^_^)

bah. some famous to-do list that bride/groom to be will constantly be thinking of:
-the bridal package
-the reception style and venue
-the caterer n aramai tii supplies
-the photographer and/or videographer
-the CAKE
-the RING
-the invitation card
-the guest list
-the somanyotherlittlethingsthatsuddenlycomeupandmakeyourheadspin

..i've got this littel advice from my bridal house: don't bring along any friends or family members when choosing your gowns/suits as it will really torn you when making decision. TRUE. Let everything be from your own true heart.
(^_^)

hmm...

Daisypath

Can't wait for next weekend..coz j&nc will be rockin' away for another pre-wedding shots.
(mau pakai mask kah ni a? haha..it's a wicked life.but it's our only life. and i'm loving it)

THE Wedding Color

im having problem with formatting my blog entries nowadays..penat2 kasi edit sana sini..tiba2 keluar tu kotak merah..something like 'tag not allowed..+/*7^%&^&^##.." ntah.

that explain the missing entry yesterday. i need ur advice.

(was trying to make the alignment CENTRE. but ini la pla jadi ny. frustrated. but anyway..)

........................................................

..gosh,, I missed planning my wedding. Been busy for a few months and none of the plans and W- stuff came any near my head. And now..:) its back to business..and I feel so thankful that I have a few bloggers friends who are on the same wavelength with me..hehe..kn..*wink2*. U don’t know how much it means to me to be able to share and talk with u gurls on these stuff. Thanks (^_^)

ok..will be blogging more on wedding tips in the future. Meanwhile..lets start with some tips on choosing ur favourite theme color for that big day. sounds boring? haha..well not for those who have wedding bells in their hearts :)

Remember how everyone seems to get excited to know what is your wedding theme color? Haha..so u can get the cutest dress or shirt of the particular color that matches with the bride and groom exuberance that day.

Well..there’s more to it than just being THE chosen color. I bump into one of the wedding blogs that reveals the hidden meaning of each theme colors. The good and some bad side of the colors. So here’s quoting from sparklingwedding.blogspot.com on the meaning of different wedding colors. Who knows..u might find THE color,,or change ur mind after reading this.

Each wedding color has a good and bad image. In choosing the wedding colors, it is important to highlight the good image of the wedding color. The cool colors convey calming effect, while the warm colors create excitement. The neutral colors convey unification, or unity. The cool colors of wedding are blue, green, turquoise, and Silver. The warm colors are red, pink, yellow, gold, and orange. The neutral colors are brown, beige, ivory, gray, black, and white.

Black depicts formal, modern, sexy, and sophisticated. It is a color that is always in fashion. It never goes out of style. Black is usually paired with white. Black is the color of highest formality of wedding. With black, you feel elegant, powerful, and sophisticated. Black works well with lighter colors such as yellow, white, blue, red, blue, and green. Black will stand out in photographs. On the contrary, black is also a symbol of evil, darkness, and death.

Nc says: I luvvvv bLaK to death. Its sexxayy. But come on. Black? For a wedding? i guess its ok to have a splash of blasck here and there. but to have it as THE main color..hmm..Call me a conservative, I don’t mind.

Blue calls for calmness, tranquility, truthfulness, nobleness, and faithfulness. In all the culture, blue has the lowest amount of bad images. Blue is often use in ribbons to symbolize winners. Blue is recommended and versatile. Anyone can not go wrong. We often see blue in wedding flowers, and dress. The only bad image of blue is depression, loneliness, and sadness.

Nc says: feeling blue on ur wedding day just becoz u chose the color BLUE as THE color? Aahhh,,perasaan ko ja bah tu. Not a bad color wat..

Brown makes you feel comfortable, warm, and cozy. It is a color of the wood, earth, and stone. The guests will be obliged to stay longer. Brown also stimulates appetite. The only bad image is that it is sometimes dull. However, the brown brings character to the location.

Nc says: hmm..ive seen couples making brown as the theme color. Unique. Different. Dull? Only if ur a dull couple. Haha..oopss…no offence.

Green represents wealth, money, nature, environment, fertility, growth, re-birth, victory, healing, abundant, and renewable. Green is the color of garden weddings and green weddings. The green tells of new life and beginning after the wedding. Oftentimes, we use green to show the awareness to be eco-friendly, or environment friendly. The bad image of green is greed, jealousy, and envy.

Nc says: Green spells gorgeous if u can really play with the color. Green = jealousy kah? Hmm..on ur wedding day..the only person that’s going to get jealous is the next bride- to- be who marvels at the greenness of ur surrounding.

Orange stands for energy, sun, warmth and comfortable. It is often used in fall wedding ideas. The guests will feel at ease. Think of fall leaves, pumpkin, sun, sunset as wedding themes.

Nc says: I have yet to see a wedding with an orange theme. Mighty bright and bold. And hey hey..no bad karma ya, for this color.bah, bulih la ni.tpi cm talampau tarang o kn.hehe

Pink symbolizes the femininity, admiration, love, pretty, spring, gentleness, harmony, fidelity, and sensuality. It is an innocent, sweet, and soft color. Pink is usually use in wedding dress, wedding invitations, and wedding flowers. The only bad image is breast cancer awareness in which most people will not consider as bad image.

Nc says: aduii gia..the favourite of many. Mine’s too. I salute the grooms who don’t mind wearing pink shirt just to match with the bride. Not to mention the whole gentlemen of the family. Tak smua lelaki mau pakai pink2 o..kn..

Purple shows nobility, royalty, luxury, authority, creativity, inspiration, and spirituality. It is a mysterious and intriguing color. The darker shades of purple represent sensuality, while the lighter shades of purple represent romance and delicate. The bad image of purple is a symbol of mourning widow in Thailand.

Nc says: well..we are not in Thailand..are we? *wink wink*. For a hopeless sensual creative romantic – purple rules.

Red creates excitement as red raises blood pressure. Red also symbolizes love, passion, sex, and power. Hence, we like to give red roses to show a strong affection of love. Red means good luck in China, while red means purity in India. Life, vitality, celebrations, and gifts are associated with red. The negative images about red are blood, war, danger, fire, and anger.

Nc says: yep, the color of passion and good luck..ang pou laiiii..heheh. The favourite of many as well.

White is one of the neutral colors which are common in wedding dress, flowers, and attire. White is also associated with purity, innocence, cleanliness, and virtue. Think of snow, winter, and peace as wedding themes. Today, it symbolizes crisp, clean, and luxurious. On the other hand, the white is a symbol of death for eastern countries and ghost for western countries. The caskets are usually covered in white, while the ghosts are usually visualized in floating white sheet.

Nc says: It s very beautiful and the purest color of all. But living in a country where we it’s a symbol of death for many culture..we might need to downplay it a bit, and ensemble is with other colors to liven it up.

Yellow is a happy, joyful, cheerful, and hopeful color. Because it is close to the color gold, it is sometimes a symbol of wealth. Think of sunshine and summer as wedding themes. The yellow in wedding dress, wedding candles, and wedding flowers indicate a happy moment. For Japanese, it is a symbol of royalty and courage. The bad image of yellow is emergency, cowardice, deceit, and hazard. In Egypt, the yellow means death, grief, and mourning.

Nc says: and again..we are not in Egypt..are we. Think SMILEY.

Okai. That’s about all. Have fun deciding on ur theme color. I think I have found mine. heheh

the wedding decor and layout of one of my friends. full of passion and romance kn. its just at the backyard of their house..where the whole garden wedding ceremony took place.
