Nevis for Nc

what great way to start off this moo moo year than to find your ideal island vacation (hmm..i tot it was going to be sipadan, mabul, kapalai,,or even TAR park! haha)
head off to this site guys n gals if ur into it (answer a few questions,,n voila..)

What's Your Ideal Island Vacation?

. . .

Your Ideal Island Vacation is Nevis

"On an island vacation, you need the sun, the beach, the sand, and the ocean(tell me 'bout it)
In other words, it doesn't take much to make you happy. That's what the vacation is for.
Nevis (nevis??) is perfect for a true island vacation aficionado (aficionado..hmm, apaitu a) like yourself. It's underrated, small, and laid back.
Sure, it's a slower pace, but that's ideal. You won't be overwhelmed with activities, and you'll take the time to truly relax."

. . .

google the island NEVIS..n this is what i got - im going to the Carribbean!!! (^_^)

Perfect.

some facts of NEVIS.
The island of Nevis is located 200 miles southeast of Puerto Rico and is part of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. The island of Nevis is generally underdeveloped with thousands of acres of pristine hillsides. The positive characteristics of the island made it the choice of world-class Four Seasons hotel to establish its first Caribbean presence in the region. Nevis is visually stunning, with golden sand beaches. Nevis Peak towers to 3500 feet in the center of Nevis. The island offers people a truly relaxed lifestyle with serious crime almost nonexistent. Numerous deluxe residences are being constructed by those fleeing the rampant development in Florida and over-developed resort destinations.

Happily Ever After

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the article “The 7 Steps to Happily Ever After” in the Sunday newspaper this morning. An answered prayer? Hmm..i don’t know..i guess its more to an unexpected reply to a hopeless remark on my facebook status last Friday:
Nc is trying to find the secret of happily ever after. Any such thing??? And got myself a comical reply from a tompinai instead..haha.
Anyway. I’d like to share with u what the article said. It could be an eye opener to all of us..esp those in a relationship or planning to get into one..and live happily ever after.
Caution: No glass sandals or poisoned apples involved – they only exist in fairytales.
Step 1: Find a shared dream for your life together.
Article says: Best of partners never lose sight of the fact that they’re working together to achieve the same big dreams. When you share a dream, you’re a heck a lot more likely to make that dream come true.

Nc says: I’m trying to be more positive nowadays..with the help of some friends. So I will agree 99% on this one. YEP. Find a dream that both of you want to achieve. It doesn’t have to be big dreams. Small hopes that come to life will make you both appreciate each other more. So..huney..how big shall our SHARED dream house will be? hehe
Step 2: Choose each other as your first family.
perfect. Hmm..can this be a perfeArticle says: ..one in which husband and wife are the A-team..an important part of building your self image as a duo (and maybe eventually three.or four..)
Nc says: the dynamic duo. That sounds TOOOO ct excuse to not to live together with your in laws? Haha..
Nc: ok hun lets change into our super A-team outfit
Partner: huney, we don’t need any outfit to be an A-team. We are A team..cant you see? (continues to watch football on TV)Nc: (scribbles off dynamic duo outfit as a SHARED dream)
Step 3: Iginite (and reiginite) a sexual connection.
Article says: ‘who wants the same turkey sandwich over and over again? You want it on a whole wheat! On a toast! As a turkey salad! On a roll!’
Nc says: need I say more?

Step 4: Find a balance between time for two and time for you
Article says: “there are couples that are never apart and there are couples that only see each other on weekends. With the right balance, neither partner feels slighted or smothered.
Nc says: When you’re in a love- long distance, its never balance (*sigh). Its hard. I guess it’s the shared dream basis that keep things alive.
Step 5: Learn how to fight right.
Article says: It means staying focused on the issue at hand and respecting each other’s perspective. Couples that fight right also find ways to defuse the tension, often with humour.
Nc says: Wouldn’t it be good if there is an automatic diffuser in our mind or body that cuts of all words and actions that it sense would lead to an argument???

Nc: (on the edge of anger) ..why the fu*..(automatic diffuser senses bad words that could ignite argument..thus ,).., f..antastic four movie rerun not on yet?
Partner: ( heran) (but smiles)
Nc: (feels the sudden warmth of joy) , Lets go to the movie and forget everything?
Step 6: Face a major challenge together.
Article says:You never know how strong your relationship is until it is tested. When you do make it through in one piece, you might just find yourselves tighter than ever.
Nc says: Think Mr and Mrs Smith (the movie) as in Mr AND Mrs SMITH(not Brangelina).
Step 7: Build a best friendship.
Article says:When you’re true friends, you acknowledge and respect what the other person is; you don’t try to change them. This creates a sense of safety and security when you’re together – you know you’re valued for who you are and you see you’re the value in your partner.
Nc says: One of the greatest thing in life is to be married to your best friend (of the opposite sex of cos!!haha)

There you go. The 7 steps. How many do you have in hand..or would like to have?
I’ll try to take all seven..with God’s blessings.
p/s: I still think the A –team outfit should be STEP 8.

Little Girl

Cant get enough of the Mama Mia movie. I think its the best movie that i've watched last year. All the ABBA's songs in the movie smell as fresh as they were the first time i listened to it..20 years ago..in a cassette..own by my parents, played in our mini stereo, and that sing along Align Centersession i had (dictating the lyrics; as long as the word sounds almost the same with what they're singing - its ok oredi hahaha). hey..i was only 9 or 10 what.. ^_^

hmm..not sure if ur into this kind of music. but i fell in love with the beat and lyrics everytime i listen to it. well,, looks like there is still a touch of evergreen in me ^_^
And its a great song to soothe ur heart,, as if someone is talking to u,, comforting u..

Ya? ya ba..just listen to the song or read the lyrics below.

Chiquitita, tell me whats wrong

Youre enchained by your own sorrow
In your eyes there is no hope for tomorrow
How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that youre oh so sad, so quiet

Chiquitita, tell me the truth
Im a shoulder you can cry on
Your best friend, Im the one you must rely on
You were always sure of yourself
Now I see youve broken a feather
I hope we can patch it up together

Chiquitita, you and I know
How the heartaches come and they go and the scars theyre leaving
Youll be dancing once again and the pain will end
You will have no time for grieving

Chiquitita, you and I cry

But the sun is still in the sky and shining above you
Let me hear you sing once more like you did before
Sing a new song, chiquitita
Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, chiquitita

So the walls came tumbling down
And your loves a blown out candle
All is gone and it seems too hard to handle
Chiquitita, tell me the truth
There is no way you can deny it
I see that youre oh so sad, so quiet

Here's the You Tube video.. feel free to watch ya :)

Yep. 2008. The year that WAS but will always be cherished by many. How was your year? I asked myself this question on the last day of 2008 and so glad that I feel good about it. Been to lots of places,,doing different new things..meet many people, growing up, growing young, being closer to friends and families. I realized, I never made any new year resolutions last year – and ironically achieved quite little miracles and something to shout about (*wink)

Well,, while lotsa blogger friends are blogging about new year resolutions..i think I’d like to take this moment to cherished the year that was simply amazing.

Why im proud of the year that was..?

1. I got engaged with my significant other on Chinese New Year – after a painful postponed of the celebration the previous Christmas. An in law passed away suddenly on the faithful day. Everything was ready and the guests were on the way, until the news dropped. God bless his soul. And with God’s blessing as well, the celebration finally fall into place successfully (mesti la)..last Chinese New Year.

2. I finally learnt how to swim last January with the help of some high- spirited friends. Couldn’t believe I could fit into a swimming trunk and FLOAT! Haha..it was value for money. I know I will enjoy the benefit as long as I want to. And im proud to say that I’ve gone swimming to lots of places this year. And the best part was, I got to go snorkeling at Mamutik island just last week – without a life jacket..haha..ciok ba. Swimming is my new love. The sea has always been my first love. My significant other? Hahaha, itu, my forever love la ba kunun..^_^

3. Travelling..travelling..travelling WOW..and will do MORE of it this year. Im so lucky that my profession opens the door to travelling and doing things ive never thought before – not to mention an ever understanding fiancé that supported me all the way. ^_^ Doing the flying fox, turn myself upside down in a kayak, encounter with the pacatttts, and being massaged by big fishes. Woo hoo..and as for the travelling..though just at our own backyard..im happy to discover these places. The Moroli river in Ranau, the Tip of Borneo (for the 5th time), the Kinabatangan river, the Borneo Kellybays in Tuaran, the Tempurung Seaside Lodge..to name a few. All the swimming in lotsa places (*grin). And the best part was going to a fully sponsored business aka leisure trip to Genting Highlands. Now I know why I love my profession.

4. Growing closer with friends and families. I feel blessed to have my friends and colleagues around me. We laugh together and at each other. And the best part – gossip together. Haha..That’s life. Family wise, im happy to have spent more time with my family and my fiance’s family the recent school holiday. He’s blessed with a great big family where everybody just enjoys being in the company of one another. We come completely from different family..erm..style? but learnt to make the best out of it. Hey..i luv my family..okay.

5. AND a big MMMUAHHH to my Little Life’s Pleasure. I never thought blogging could give me the freedom and satisfaction I have now. A little endeavour became a joyful habit. Its not about who reads your blog or how many comments you have. Its about the freedom of speech and expression. Sometimes I hope that nobody reads my blog so I can really REALLY write just any stuff and not being judged about it. but then again, gaining readers offers you something – friendship, self esteem..etc. and so.. if you’re reading this rite now..i thank you. You rock – Gracie, Nadia, Beck, AngelBear, Mogiumtusin (to mention a few new acquaintances ) n fellow friends Mia, Cath, Michelle, Uzoi, Val, Pam,Whanita. Majulah sukan untuk Negara guys..

And..there you go..the 5 things that made me proud of the year that was. New Year Resolutions..hmm..nanti2 la,, cos I know what I need and what I’ll be into this year – just keeping my fingers crossed.

Hold on tight..its going to be a bumpy road, people..yeeee haaa!!

Hmm..bulih main tag2 ka ni a,, haha… *The 5 Things That Made You Proud in 2008* ..for all the names mentioned in number 5. Haha..if you don’t mind of cos,, ^_^ enjoy.

last picture of 2008 ^_^
