A gift from the blogging experts..and i would like to share this with you, my faithful readers and followers.
Comments.
O yeahh..we cannot deny that the comments that our readers leave in each entry of our post motivates us to write more..and better. And sometimes the comments is the ultimate objective of one to keep on blogging.
Don't.
But if comments are what you are after..then hear this.
There are few reasons actually on why readers will NOT leave their comments on your posts.

From the mind of a Successful & Outstanding Blogger.http://www.successful-blog.com/
1. What you write is so complete, that I don’t know what to say except good job. I feel silly writing that, so I read and move on.

2. You’ve taught me something I didn’t know, and I need to think about it before I even have a question. Much like number 1, I don’t want to embarrass myself. I’m better off moving on.

3. I get ready to type a comment, but I notice you only respond to a few friends who mostly share inside jokes. I won’t take the risk of being overlooked in public.

4. The folks who comment on your posts like to argue and I don’t. I’m not sure I’m brave enough to fight my way into the crowd.

5. You rarely respond to comments. So, there’s no point in writing one.

6. Your blog has geeky attitude and I’m not geeky enough to keep up

 7. I really like your blog and your post, but I’m too tired, busy, or any one of a number things that you can’t control. I’ll comment the next I come back to read.

8. You end your posts with a giant general question like “What do you think of the Big Bang Theory?” That question is such a big one. I don’t have time to answer it. I feel strange answering with a lesser comment.

9. You put up a fence by making me login to comment. I have too many passwords already and I don’t know you well enough to add one to my list.

10. Your content wasn’t fresh and exciting, and I couldn’t find anything YOU inside it. It seemed the same post that I’ve read on 10 other blogs. If I commented, I would have to tell you that.
  • PLUS ONE: Your post was negative. Negative is scary. Most folks don’t like negative stuff, because they know they could be next to be the recipient. I don’t comment, because I don’t want to be part of it

nc says: angguk2..geleng2..(^-^)..
(my kitten2 which keep me company all the time)
don't worry..i'm not expecting you to drop any comments on this post..not even because of any of the 10 reasons above. hehe..for me..it's a personal choice. What about you? hehe
But if you really want to improve your blog and engage your reader attention - then, this post might inspire you.
Good luck :)

when i post, i dont really expect/crave for comments. its not really a big deal for me since blogging is my passion; so getting comments is a plus but it aint gonna change how i feel bout blogging.

No 5! I always track my comments left in other blogs. When they didn't reply, sedih ni. hahaha..

Angel Bear: yep yep, no comments, no problem :) i agree

Santafire: another point of view that i support :) it is a plus, but it aint everything :0

Just: i realized that comments are anther way for bloggers to interact kan. so..yeah.. no worries lady Just. ur comments will always be replied. its a good blog ethic :)

I'll be ok with/without comments coz i once blog knowing not many ppl will read haha. That makes the content really personal and very straightforward. I can just blurt everythg out w/out anyone offended with it.

But kadang2,ada juga blog yg tiada comment but they have many secret readers. jeng3.

that is true.. thats why it is a personal blog kan? hehe..but..kdg2 kan.. yg ada bnyk silent readers ni ada kebaikan n keburukan juga kan.. terutama nya yg ada bad intentions.. jeng3..but alas,, nothing is perfect.

Amanda:
Thank u thnk u.. will share more on the blogging tips ive learnt in the future ya ;)

Del:
hi Del :) yep..everybody has their own reason actually kn :) keep on blogging ya

Stella: that's true of course :) and thats why..it is a source of motivation sometimes for us to write :)

Hidayah:
U know what.. i once did not understand.. why i have to put comments in my own comment box. but then..baru paham..its a way for us to communicate with our readers. its not the quantity of comments that matter though. bah. rajin2 kita reply komen a :)

yes, our respond to comments depend on personal preference. honestly, i dont fancy leaving comments on blog that already have hundreds of comments in it. i would feel deserted especially if the owner of the blog doesn't respond to each comment. yes, i want attention. there i said it :D

Thumbs up!

One of the reason I blog is because I want to polish my writing skill and in order to measure the progress, I need people to respond my entry.

However, it's totally fine with me if people don't leave comments because that tells me something about my writing. And I believe that the readers have the right to and not to leave comments.

Itu pasal writing skill punya pasal la. Lain2, sa mmg suka blogging :)

nc said...

Chegu Carol:
i hear u..hehe..i certainly need that too :) why not bah kan. It shows that the blogger cares or at least have read our comments.

Memeljoan:
hehe..i felt the same too. time mula2 la. perasaan bila dpt komen yg pertama tu bah..and then from i dont know who.. was so exhilarating :) tpi skg, konfiden sikit n positif bnyk sda la. haha

Annieming:
hahaha..ya ka..siou a kalau sa pernah inda tebalas komen. sa pun baru belajar ni etika2 ber komen2 :) now i know. bah..kasi link sja.. no problem. :)

Angel:
o yes, that's true. Sometimes we can know and measure how good we are in our writing skills by the respond@comments we received kn. bah. caiyo2 kita hehe

Hey Nc,

thanks for sharing the knowledge, as far as i am concerned, blogging is about sharing, one's thought or feeling, to me it doesn't matter got comments or not?

but then again, it would be nice to if you could leave comments to spur other bloggers on....

I like comments.
For me, blogging is all about interactions. People's feedback tells me how they are moved(esehmen XD) by what I posted. If there's none or myb negative, then I know I have to change/improve some way or another.

nc said...

GladysDavid:
i like comments too :) cant deny.

I think semua blogger suka comment kan?. Tapi kalau tidak ada apa boleh buat :).

Stephaine said...

well a very nice view on thing that bloggers should know.
the problem is most of us especially personal bloggers are not really into generating comments, they are more into expressing themselves.
I love comments my self it makes me write more as you have stated in your post but sometimes its becoming artificial already... as if were doing it because we want comment its not because we are happy about it... sometimes ego is more prevailing than the passion..
hehe!

Denny said...

I am sure everyone like to make comment, nikmatin aja :)
Thanks
